
Chloe McGuire (Environmental Engineering)
Chloe McGuire is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering at Florida International University (FIU) and will continue her education with a Master’s in Environmental Engineering. She was inducted as a DOE Fellow in 2024, where she is actively engaged in advanced laboratory research focused on remediation technologies and environmental management strategies for sites impacted by radioactive waste and hazardous contamination. Her work contributes to the development of innovative solutions for waste isolation, decontamination, and long-term environmental stewardship.
Beyond her research, Chloe is deeply involved in leadership and professional organizations. She serves on the executive board of Chi Epsilon, the National Civil Engineering Honor Society, is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers, and represents engineering students as a senator in the Student Government Association. Additionally, she holds a credential in the Fundamentals of Climate Leadership, further reinforcing her commitment to environmental sustainability and policy-driven solutions. Passionate about environmental restoration, Chloe strives to drive impactful advancements in contamination mitigation and sustainable engineering practices.
