FIU in DC featured some of our DOE Fellows conducting internship at DOE-HQ in Washington, D.C. FIU-ARC currently have 17 DOE Fellows on internships across the nation at national laboratories and DOE sites. Below are a couple of their experiences from those at DOE-HQ.
Meet Ximena Lugo, a DOE fellow @ENERGY! She’s an @FIU_CEC student who’s thankful for the opportunity to shadow her mentor, because she’s been able to better understand the process for how decisions are made to ensure that policies are abided for the protection of the environment. pic.twitter.com/relZwUulgp

Joshua Nuñez is a @FIU_CEC graduate student, working as DOE fellow @ENERGY, currently focusing on a robotics study. He has been able to see how all the teams come together and how funds are distributed in terms of what projects get picked and what gets implemented along the way. pic.twitter.com/uFtufUOk9I
