The DOE Fellows held their fourth Lecture Series on April 14, 2010 with the participation of Mr. Leif Eriksson, Waste Management Symposia – Wendell Weart Lifetime Achievement Award recipient for 2010. During nearly five decades of involvement in nuclear waste management programs and projects, Mr. Eriksson has made substantial and enduring contributions to both national and international waste management, waste processing and nuclear waste repository programs. During his lecture, Mr. Eriksson shared with the DOE Fellows his life-long experiences throughout his career which began in Sweden more than 50 years ago. The DOE Fellows also got the chance to showcase their work to Mr. Eriksson following his lecture with a tour through the Sensors and Robotics Lab, Soil and Ground Water Lab, and Radiation Lab.
