Mennah Orabi (Mechanical Engineering)

Mennah Orabi is an undergraduate student at Florida International University (FIU) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2027 and plans to further her education with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Her particular interests lie in mechanical design and aerodynamics. 

Mennah is also a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Fellow. She is currently working under the mentorship of Dr. Mayren Echeverria Boan and is researching the corrosion of different metals in order to determine which metal, including Low Carbon Steel, would be best for the tanks at the Hanford Site.
