Nicholas T. Espinal is an undergraduate student at Florida International University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Department of Energy (DOE) Fellow. He is expected to graduate in the Fall of 2023, and afterwards plans on pursing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His particular interests lie in mechanical design, dynamics, and programming. Currently, he is working under the mentorship of Dr. Mayren Echeverria and is researching efficient aging processes on concrete samples in order to replicate the conditions within the H-Canyon Exhaust Tunnel at Savannah River Site.
