Sarah Bird (Environmental Engineering)
Sarah Bird is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering at Florida International University (FIU). She is a member of the FIU Honors College and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society. Her main interests include sustainable development practices – especially innovating sustainable energy systems to provide clean, reliable energy to people in developing countries – as well as soil and groundwater remediation and sanitation systems. After completing her bachelor’s degree in May 2017, Sarah hopes to join the Peace Corps before continuing her education by pursuing a master’s degree.
