Theophile Pierre (Mechanical Engineering)

Theophile Pierre is an undergraduate student at Florida International University (FIU) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Department of Energy (DOE) Fellow at FIU’s Applied Research Center (FIU-ARC). He is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2024 and plans to pursue a master’s in mechanical engineering at FIU. His interests lie in Robotics and Manufacturing. Under the mentorship of Mr. Anthony Abrahao, he is working on developing a sampling mechanism and optimizing the Miniature Rover. Additionally, he is involved in designing a pneumatic off-riser robotic manipulator. Both projects are aimed for applications at the Hanford Site in collaboration with Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS).
