Alex Rivero (Computer Engineering)
Alex Rivero is senior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s in computer engineering at Florida International University. His professional interests include cybersecurity, embedded systems, and software development. Alex expects to graduate in the spring of 2019 and plans to pursue a master’s degree in cybersecurity.
Alex joined FIU’s Applied Research Center (ARC) as a Department of energy (DOE) Fellow, under the mentorship of Dr. Himanshu Upadhyay. His current project addresses penetration testing and forensics of the Deactivation and Decommissioning Knowledge Management Information Tool (D&D KM-IT) database and application server to find and remediate any vulnerabilities encountered in the system.
