Desmond Sinnott is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has a passion for the environment and hopes to work one day in clean energy and sustainable projects. He expects to graduate in the Fall of 2022 and hopes to make full use of the knowledge gained through the DOE Fellows Program in the workforce.
At FIU’s Applied Research Center (ARC) Desmond works under the mentorship of Dr. Aparna Aravelli. His current research involves structural health of nuclear waste transfer systems by performing real-time testing and analysis of in-house loop systems.
