DOE Fellow Silvina Di Pietro presented at eMerge Americas conference

DOE Fellows Alexis Smoot and Silvina Di Pietro at eMerge

Silvina Di Pietro, a DOE Fellow from the DOE-FIU Science and Technology Workforce Development Program, participated yesterday in eMerge Americas (a business, innovation and technology conference). She presented her research in the Life Science SoFL section of the conference. Three other students (two from FAU and one from Miami-Dade) also participated. Silvina was thrilled to get the opportunity to meet and interact with FIU’s Dean of the College of Arts and Science Dr. Michael Heithaus, forensic chemist and Provost Dr. Kenneth Furton and even President Dr. Rosenberg at the event. She also met with entrepreneur, business woman and international speaker Silvina Moschini.
