Our DOE Fellows (Christine Wipfli, Juan Morales and Mohammed Albassam) interning at Department of Energy HQ in Washington DC and former DOE Fellow Alessandra Monetti – class of 2009 (now a civil engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers) had the opportunity to participate in a FIU in DC event hosting the 2017 FIU Alumnus of the Year Chad Moss of Moss & Associates as we celebrate the naming of the Moss School of Construction, Infrastructure and Sustainability. Chad Moss’ historic gift to Florida International University constitutes the single largest donation made by an alumnus to date. Moss exemplifies how all members of our FIU community play a vital role in its development and how all alumni are capable of making an indelible impression on the growth of our university.
