About DOE Fellow
Mrs. Elicek Delgado-Cepero graduated with a Cum Distinction from University of South Florida in December 2009. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Her research interests are remote powering of sensors via rectifying antennas and their optimization. Also, wireless communications in free space and harsh environments, sensor networks, and communications systems.
In the summer of 2009, she was one of the students selected for the Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research at Berkeley (SUPERB) at UC Berkeley. The National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsors SUPERB Program. She served as an intern at the Berkeley Wireless Research Center (BWRC). Her research goals were improving the design method for on-chip spiral inductors by introducing a multilayer approach that would save space inside integrated circuits (ICs).
Mrs. Delgado-Cepero is currently pursuing her Master Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on microwave engineering and telecommunications at Florida International University. Her research goals are focused on developing wireless monitoring systems and instrumentation for the Department of Energy (DoE) in-situ decommissioning tasks. Elicek is now an employee at Motorola Solutions working as a RF Engineer.
